Birthday Cupcakes

Been ages since my last update.. Duno what am I buzy with... Or was it just plain laziness??!! Haha...

Baked some Blueberries chocolate cupcakes last night.. They're for 3 of my peers whose birthday happened to fall on the same day, 4th Nov!!

Something simple as I dun have much time to "beautify" them.. Rich chocolate ganache topped off with a glazed cherry.. Hope they liked them..

R.I.P. Raj

Out for early breakfast with couple of collegues this morning..
While waiting, received an sms from sp..
The message said that the security guard we know as Raj passed away in the guard room.. Kind of taken aback on this news.. Someone whom I've know for the past 10 years or so had suddenly left..
Few days back we were still teasing him with his new haircut.. whistling at him and calling him handsome... Joking with him, offering him tibits.. And now, he's gone..
He's been tormented with kidney failure for these couple of years, all the poking of needles into his hand, the dialysis he needs to go thru every other day has never made him an unhappier person.. Infact he has been pretty positive about everything..
He's been a very kind man (at least that's how I felt).. Whenever I stay late alone the office, he'll call me now and then to check if I'm doing fine in the office, asking me not to stay too late..
Rest in peace brother.. Bye..

Valentine's Day

Made these for someone.. Intended to give them to him on the V day..
I had a box of cake mix with me, so, instead of using my own recipe, I gave the cake mix a try..
End result?
Even my not so picky brother says the cupcakes are not nice.. hahaa...
I din even wanted to taste them... whhahahhahaha...
So, I just had them decorated (too late to make another batch of my own recipe), pictures taken and showed them to him instead.. hehehe...
The toppers were made by myself... Cute???
I think so.. Do you?? Hahahhahaha....

Oreo Cheesecake

Haven't been updating my blog for soooooooo long...
After Christmas, I've been pretty busy.. Work.. everything...
Didn't even have the energy to bake... haha...

The only time I've baked after Christmas was this.. Oreo Cheesecake for baby's birthday... Wanted to decorate the cake.. But I was too lazy and tired to move my fingers to do the decoration...Haha...

Luckily he liked the cake, said he liked it heart shaped and its tasty....
Haha... He better liked it...





Actually I was all enthu to participate in the Butterfly themed cupcake contest organized by Zalita...
Who knows.. I was so busy (ok... a little on the lazy side also) that I didn't have the time to do it.. I actually had the shape of the butterfly shaped out with sugar paste (2 days before the closing day)..
Just when I wanted to decorate it... it broke into two!!! =(
